Wamp Hasslefree Competition - completed

I finally finished my entry for the Hasslefree competition and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I've been working on the model and base for a good few weeks now trying to make and paint it to the best of my abilities. For a first attempt at making a display base, I'm really pleased with the results. The base is made from cork while the tree is a combination of wire, plaster and green stuff with lichen as the leaves. I really want to practice using resin water some more, so that will be one of my goals over the summer while I'm home from university.

There are loads of amazing entries already in the Wamp Gallery and hopefully I'll receive some feedback on my model so I know what I can do to improve in the future.

Painting is fun. Yeah!

Well I've finally gotten into painting models after being influenced by my boyfriend. After seeing him paint his Flames of War and Dystopian Wars models (among many, many others), I decided I'd give it ago with his help. My first project(s) were two 28mm Hassle Free miniatures which were a present from Salute 2012.  I painted them last week and they were my first attempts at painting.

My next project - 54mm model

For my next project, my boyfriend found an old 54mm model which he stripped. I painted this model this weekend (pictures to come soon) and I plan to finish the bases on the other models next weekend.
